We CANT hardly wait for NEW YEARS DAY!! We Love it. Its a new start and fresh feel. For anyone who has been in a FUNK for the year its your time to BREAK FREE!!

Let's be honest we used to NEVER set New Year's Resolutions or goals of any kind for that matter. Maybe we were AFRAID. Afraid of failing. What we never really understood was the idea that we was already failing by not setting them. You know the term, "fail to plan, plan to fail". That was us a couple years ago. Not anymore we have learned that the only one who can make us happy is ourselves.

Our true PASSION with our Beachbody business has helped us to achieve or work towards achieving all of our GOALS.

We know what you are all thinking.... "We can't ALL be happy and 2015 is not going to change my life or me". Take a moment and think about what you would want to make yourself TRULY HAPPY! We would bet for the majority of you, YOU are the only one standing in the way of your own HAPPINESS! Set a GOAL to achieve that ultimate happiness this year, make 2015 the best year yet!

.  Simple to complex it doesn't matter. Set them and stick to them.

Here are just some of our GOALS for last year>>>>>>

1. Lose weight/ Get healthier-its a no brainer that Beachbody has done this for us. We are in the best shape of our lives. Josh rides his bike so much smoother and with ease then ever and me after having two kids. Dont let having kids be an excuse but rather a motivator to get healthier.

2. Spend more time with our FAMILY- since working our business we can spend more time with our family. We are happier and more present then ever before.

3. Get out of DEBT- this is a goal that we are still working on but,its not an idle one. Last week's paychecks was much larger then expected and will help with that debt.

4. Travel- Josh and I have already been on a cruise in March and we are heading to CANCUN later this spring. Thanks to Beachbody we will be staying at one of the best resorts with 100s of coaches that share the same PASSION we have for Beachbody.

As you can see Beachbody has been a huge help in us reaching a good majority of our goals. Everyday we have the opportunity to better not only ourselves but others around us. Now thats a good feeling.  Do any of you have some of these similar goals or would like to change their life for the better like we did?

Tis The Season

If any of you are a fan of egg nog like our family is then you are in for a treat. This recipe takes the amazing taste of egg nog that many go to for the holidays and makes it healthy. I love finding and trying recipes that take something I already love and making it just a little healthier. This way I can still enjoy all the things I used to indulge but not feel so guilty or like I need to workout again. ENJOY!!!

What I have done with my life so far and now what?

So I have been told by many successful people that I should be Blogging about my life and the events that have lead me to the person I am today so here I go....
First off I want to say that I have heard from a huge number of people in my life that I am "Lucky" and this statement doesn't really offend me but pretty close and I'll tell you why. I have never been handed anything in my life I feel like I have been supported by my family and have made great relationships along the way that have helped me to be where I am today. I had to beg my parents for years to get my first real BMX bike and when I got it I couldn't have been any more happy. Then it took me months of begging to get my parents to take me to my first race, it wasen't that they didn't want to they just wanted to make sure I would stick with it because I was not very good at following through with things at this point in my life and needed to prove that I would stick with this one. I have now been riding my BMX bike for 18 years and have been able to travel the world. I was very good at riding from the beginning but was not good and not crashing. I have broken 29 bones in my life, been on my death bed TWICE, had my mouth wired shut, had my shoulder, knee, and ankle all rebuilt, along with a long list of aches and pains I deal with on a daily basis. (You see where the not so LUCKY part comes in?)
I have never been wealthy monetarily but I have been in Love I found my now wife when I was only 16 years old and she has stuck with me through all of my trials and tribulations. I don't talk about these things to make anyone feel bad for me and I am not being negative I say them because I now am a professional athlete, father of the 2 cutest kids on the planet, successful entrepreneur and married to the women of my dreams. I was able to do these things because I have never in my life been willing to give up on something I want no matter what.
It wasn't until the last year or so that I have really started to see that I have actually been doing something pretty great with my life, I may not have accomplished everything that I want to or someday will, but I have put a pretty sweet dent in it. I can truthfully say that since I have discovered BeachBody and become a coach I was pushed to start reading some personal development and my outlook on life is 100% different, I am happier in my daily activities.  I know I have a healthy, wealthy future building right now and I am improving me in every way on a daily basis which in turn creates a brighter future for my family. I know that I was supposed to find this opportunity to better lives all around me, from helping my sister who has struggled with her fitness for years to helping my wife's sanity by taking her on a cruise. The lives around me are steadily getting better with things that I have been doing and there is no words that can describe how good that can make a person feel.
I am uncertain of my future as a pro rider because I never know what can happen but one thing is for sure I will be taking them with me on my adventures and they will never have to wonder what their dad is doing because they will be an intimate part of what I do every day, because I know my improved riding from being more fit and the new lifestyle BeachBody will allow me to afford our future is going to be epic!!!!
I made this video while driving to a contest in Canada by myself and I feel like it is very relevant to what I am talking about!

Foods That will Actually Help you burn Fat!!

Its true there are some foods out there that are know to help boost your metabolism and even burn calories as you eat them. If only that was all we all wanted to eat all the time right? The reality is that is impossible to just eat your self to perfect health and fitness. With that being said it is also impossible to to get to perfect health and fitness with just working out also. You can work out everyday even multiple times a day and if you are not eating correct your body will not respond to the way the you want it to. The rule of thumb to remember is the rule of 80/20. 80% of your health/fitness is nutrition and 20% is working out. So when you hear someone tell you “abs are made in the kitchen and not in the gym”, remember 80% of what they are saying is the truth. So take a look at your fitness goals and make sure your dinner plate is fitting into the rule of thumb so you can get the results you feel you deserve.

How many of these foods are you incorporating into your daily diet?

I also don't bring it up very often but I feel like I need to put in here that the way I changed my diet and lost my first 30 pounds was by simply replacing my breakfast with Shakeology every day. Thats it.... I was doing my best to eat good but was not on a diet by any means!!!! Just a shake instead of bacon and eggs. That being said I can still eat bacon because I don't plan on giving it up but I realize it is a treat and not a meal.

What Working Out Has Done For Me and My Riding as of March 2014

What working on my fitness and health has done for my riding

I have always considered myself a “fit” person. I have rode me bike ever since I could remember. Racing from the age of 12 to 20, then turning to free style full time. I have been competing as a professional athlete since 2006 so of course I was “fit person” right? So I thought. It wasn’t until I decided to really work at it that I found out how truly out of shape I really was. I started with Focus T25, this amazing program helped me to lose 30 pounds. Now I am about to finishing P90X3. So far I have lost a total of 50 pounds and gained muscle and muscle tone. I am more fit and healthier now then I was when I was 18. I ride with other riders up to 10 years younger then I am however, I ride harder and longer then most of them. My endurance on my bike is more then it has ever been. My tricks come easier to me, probably from the less weight I am throwing around and more muscle to do it with. Also getting fit has help my proprioception like no other. Any athlete will tell you that proprioception is important in their sport. What many people don't know is how important your proprioception is in everyday life. You would be amazed how many people lack this and could benefit from it. Fitness has changed my life and riding life for the better. I cant wait to continue on my journey to see what other benefits emerge.
Here I am filming in 2012, I was riding good but not great by any means!
This is my transformations so far.

This is a trip in fall of 2013, my first trip with a taste for being lighter on my bike, I knew the second I started riding on this trip that I was doing the right thing to make me a better rider and on my way to being as healthy as I should have been the whole time.

Vegas trip on my way home from shows in Cali, January of 2014

This was my first competition of 2014 and after only being able to ride a total of 5 or 6 times in 4 months I won the MTB portion and got 2nd in BMX, I am super excited to see what I will accomplish when I can be on my bike consistently!!!!
