So I have been told by many successful people that I should be Blogging about my life and the events that have lead me to the person I am today so here I go....
First off I want to say that I have heard from a huge number of people in my life that I am "Lucky" and this statement doesn't really offend me but pretty close and I'll tell you why. I have never been handed anything in my life I feel like I have been supported by my family and have made great relationships along the way that have helped me to be where I am today. I had to beg my parents for years to get my first real BMX bike and when I got it I couldn't have been any more happy. Then it took me months of begging to get my parents to take me to my first race, it wasen't that they didn't want to they just wanted to make sure I would stick with it because I was not very good at following through with things at this point in my life and needed to prove that I would stick with this one. I have now been riding my BMX bike for 18 years and have been able to travel the world. I was very good at riding from the beginning but was not good and not crashing. I have broken 29 bones in my life, been on my death bed TWICE, had my mouth wired shut, had my shoulder, knee, and ankle all rebuilt, along with a long list of aches and pains I deal with on a daily basis. (You see where the not so LUCKY part comes in?)
I have never been wealthy monetarily but I have been in Love I found my now wife when I was only 16 years old and she has stuck with me through all of my trials and tribulations. I don't talk about these things to make anyone feel bad for me and I am not being negative I say them because I now am a professional athlete, father of the 2 cutest kids on the planet, successful entrepreneur and married to the women of my dreams. I was able to do these things because I have never in my life been willing to give up on something I want no matter what.
It wasn't until the last year or so that I have really started to see that I have actually been doing something pretty great with my life, I may not have accomplished everything that I want to or someday will, but I have put a pretty sweet dent in it. I can truthfully say that since I have discovered BeachBody and become a coach I was pushed to start reading some personal development and my outlook on life is 100% different, I am happier in my daily activities. I know I have a healthy, wealthy future building right now and I am improving me in every way on a daily basis which in turn creates a brighter future for my family. I know that I was supposed to find this opportunity to better lives all around me, from helping my sister who has struggled with her fitness for years to helping my wife's sanity by taking her on a cruise. The lives around me are steadily getting better with things that I have been doing and there is no words that can describe how good that can make a person feel.
I am uncertain of my future as a pro rider because I never know what can happen but one thing is for sure I will be taking them with me on my adventures and they will never have to wonder what their dad is doing because they will be an intimate part of what I do every day, because I know my improved riding from being more fit and the new lifestyle BeachBody will allow me to afford our future is going to be epic!!!!
I made this video while driving to a contest in Canada by myself and I feel like it is very relevant to what I am talking about!
